Cloud9 bring back Elmapuddy to take on head coach role

Cloud9 have brought back Australian coach Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit to head their Counter-Strike team. The release of Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović left the spot vacant and after working with Cloud9 as an assistant coach previously, it seems he gets his shot as the head coach now.

Elmapuddy had left Cloud9 alongside Damian “daps” Steele, Timothy “autimatic” Ta and Kenneth “koosta” Suen when they elected to make the move to Gen.G in late 2019.

As part of this move, Joshua “m1cks” Micks moves from analyst to Assistant coach.

This comes just days after it was revealed Erick “Xeppaa” Bach had been signed to the organization after he was left homeless upon Chaos’ departure from Counter-Strike. Xeppaa stepped into a spot which was formerly filled by Özgür “woxic” Eker.

The team will make its debut with the new player and coach at cs_summit 7 tomorrow where they’ll face FURIA to open things up. Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus.pro make up the rest of their group.
