FaZe sweep OG 3-0 in IEM New York grand finals

FaZe looked dominant as they cruised to a 3-0 sweep of OG in the IEM New York 2020 Europe grand finals. Marcelo “coldzera” David and company took down Heroic, BIG, and Vitality on their road to the finals, an impressive streak given those teams recent performances.

The best-of-five series opened up with a double overtime Mirage in favor of FaZe before they pulled out a crushing win on Inferno 16-5 to set up the momentum heading into Dust 2.

The third and final map would be tighter than the last but still FaZe had a five round buffer with a 16-11 victory thanks to a 25-18 performance from Nikola “NiKo” Kovač who finished the series with a +13 kill-to-death differential and 85.5 average damage per round.

Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye showed his worth in the series with some strong showings through the event and netted a +11 k/d and 73.7 ADR in the finals.

No player on the side of OG finished positive with the closest being Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså at -5.
