Riot Games Dubai has announced a dedicated Valorant competition series for the Middle East to be played completely online and aired on Twitch via its Arabic Valorant channel (Valorant_Arabia). The competition, the Strike Arabia Championship, will feature two splits and a grand final, with the winning team getting a chance to compete in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifiers and join the rest of the world in the Valorant Champions Tour.
In total, the event will feature competition in three sub-regions, across 14 countries, with six teams qualifying for the Strike Arabia Grand Finals to determine the first Valorant MENA Champions. The final team will play in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifiers for a chance to compete in the Valorant Champions Tour.
Riot says that a total prize pool of $4K USD per season for each region will be divided as follows: $2.5K for the first place, $1K for second, and $500 for third. The prize pool for the finals was not disclosed as of this writing.
Riot Games operates in the MENA region through its Dubai Media City offices in Dubai. This is the first competition series run by Riot that connects the MENA region to a global competition series. Riot launched servers in countries throughout the region in October of last year.
