Esports and racing organisation Veloce has strengthened its managerial team with the recruitment of Guido Hakkenberg as Veloce Esports’ Head of Partnerships and James Robinson as a Commercial Consultant for Veloce Racing.
Both appointments are expected to bring more knowledge from the commercial side of racing, which according to the release, is described as ‘invaluable’ to Veloce’s goal of ‘marching to the forefront of esports’.

Hakkenberg boasts a large commercial background having served stints in business development and partnership roles at Black Book Motorsports and Manor Racing. Most recently he held the position of Partnership Development Director at Motorsport Network.
Jack Clarke, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Veloce Esports and Veloce Racing commented: “We’re really excited about our latest high-profile additions to the team.
“It’s safe to say that the pair’s arrival represents a significant boost to Veloce’s partnerships division, and they will undoubtedly push the team forward. It’s an incredibly exciting time for Veloce as a brand. I have no doubt that 2021 is going to be a very big year for us.”

Robinson has spent time in Formula 1’s ecosystem with Renault/Lotus between 2006 and 2018 in a variety of different roles. In 2018, he joined Formula One Management (FOM) as its Global Partnerships Director, a position that he held until late last year.
Robinson also founded Pace, a commercial agency that represents the interests of brands and rights-holders in Motorsport.
Esports Insider Says: These two appointments should push the team forward both in esports and during the organisation’s inaugural season of Extreme E. Veloce has a busy 2021 with many events scheduled from both industries. These two experienced appointments should help Veloce maximise its potential.
