Verizon in collaboration with Apple and Twitch Rivals will host a preview event for League of Legends: Wild Rift, the latest mobile game offering from Riot Games. On Thursday Verizon will see a host of celebrity gamers and influencers “showcase the power of mobile gaming” by using the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro on Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network to play the game.
The event which will start at 9:30 a.m. EST on Twitch and simulcast on Twitter will feature players such as Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black, Claudio “Cesaro” Castagnoli, Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido, William “Meteos” Hartman, Yousef “FaZe Apex” Abdelfattah, Joe Manganiello, Chrissy Costanza, Nate Hill, Rick Fox, and Anton “ZEDD” Zaslavski.
Along with the above coaches, Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani will take part as well as commentators Caleb Simmons, James Patterson, and Gabriella Devia-Allen.
This past June, Verizon announced its multi-year partnership with Riot Games and its League of Legends Championship Series. This deal cements Verizon as the league’s Official 5G wireless and network service partner with this event expanding on that partnership. This event is a continuation of Verizon’s partnership with Twitch
