A new month is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing to players of Animal Crossing New Horizons – new creatures to catch.
But, it also means some bugs, fish and critters will also be leaving the game, too.
Such is the seasonal nature of Animal Crossing after all.
It's worth mentioning as well that with Nintendo previously promising a second Summer update, it's possible yet more changes could be afoot.
That second update doesn't have a release date just yet, but its expected to arrive "early August".
The end of the Summer update trailer showed fireworks, so we imagine it will be lots of fun all the same.
For now, lets focus on those all-important bugs leaving at the end of July, which means players have less than 5 days to go before the big change takes place.
Bugs Leaving Animal Crossing New Horizons in August
Land dwellers needn't worry because the changes to bugs in Animal Crossing New Horizons in August are relatively minimal.
At the start of August, there is only one bug leaving the game in the northern hemisphere.
That bug is the humble Honeybee, which is available to catch from March through to July. So it's going to be a good few months before we see them return.
On the upside, there are three new bugs coming to the northern hemisphere in August, so you won't be short of bugs to catch.
In the southern hemisphere, there's even less to worry about.
For one, there are no bugs leaving the game at the end of July, with only one new addition joining the game once we begin August.
