Ubisoft is planning to launch Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Title Update 1.1.2 on February 16, bringing with it a host of content such as new abilities, skills, and a completely new game mode called River Raids.
The official announcement didn’t divulge much info about the upcoming mode, but it’s billed as “highly replayable” content that will take you all over England. Here’s the full description:
- Prepare your Jomsviking crew for this new highly replayable mode that will take you to unexplored regions of England, which is full of raiding opportunities. New loot, rewards, and challenges await the Raven Clan!
- The River Raids Mode is part of the Yule Season content. It is free for all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players, and it is accessible in-game after downloading Title Update 1.1.2.
Aside from the new game mode, Ubisoft is also bringing additional skills and abilities to Valhalla. These include the Berserker Trap – which attaches to your arrows and releases hallucinatory powder – and the Assassin Carry – which sees Eivor automatically pick up a body after a successful assassination.
As has been the case with all Title Updates, you’ll need to clear a good chunk of storage space to make room for the patch. Depending on your platform, TU 1.1.2 will require between 11 and 20GB, with Xbox Series X|S taking the hardest hit.
If you’re yet to pick up Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you can currently find it discounted to just $39.99 at Best Buy during its Presidents’ Day Sale. That’s one of the best prices we’ve seen for the game, and you’ll more than get your money’s worth. With over 60 hours of content, Valhalla is likely to keep you busy for months.
Although we’re not entirely sure what the River Raids game mode will be, the basic reveal from Ubisoft is more than enough to pique our interest. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait long to learn more, as the mode is expected to go live tomorrow.
