Call Of Duty’s fifth season will come with all of the planned content from the get-go, making it the biggest update to the game yet.
Call Of Duty players have plenty of reasons to be excited for the upcoming Season 5, which is set to begin very soon and is believed to be making some big changes to Warzone’s map.
What they’re probably looking forward to less is the size of the update. New updates have become rather infamous for how big they are. Season 4, for example, was 84GB on Xbox One.
While there aren’t specific numbers for Season 5 yet, it sounds like it will be even bigger as all the content is included from the start.
Usually, new content is added via a few updates that take place across the season but, if fans are getting all of it from the start, this could mean that mid-season updates will be much smaller this time around.
Haile also assured that, while the download itself is big, the size of the game will shrink down once the patch is downloaded.
This is part of Infinity Ward’s plan to optimise file structure so as to save space on players’ hard drives, which Haile promises will continue with future updates.
Call Of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
