Cyberpunk 2077 Boss Trips And Falls, Making For A Pretty Easy Fight

A Redditor may have inadvertently discovered the most hilarious way to cheese a boss fight of all time. For once, Cyberpunk 2077 delivers a meme that isn’t a bug.

Let’s face it, CDPR games are too easy. The Witcher 3 is a magnificent achievement in terms of scale, presentation, and storytelling, but if you’re looking for challenging combat, you aren’t going to find it unless you add a total overhaul mod like Enhanced Edition.

Cyberpunk 2077 has practically the same exact issue. Once you put a relatively meager number of points into any one skill tree you’ll have no problem slashing or blasting your way through every tissue paper enemy the game throws at you. Even the bosses are laughably easy, as demonstrated by Redditor u/Rawdogricky.

In a post on the r/Cyberpunkgame subreddit, Rawdogricky initiates combat with Maiko, the manager of Clouds dollhouse. I won’t spoil how to V ended up in a fight to the death with Maiko, but suffice to say the club boss doesn’t put up much of a fight.

In the clip, Maiko pulls out a sword from behind her back and attempts to dash-teleport at V. Unfortunately, a conveniently placed pile of bodies obstructs her path, causing Maiko to trip and fall over right at the player’s feet. Using cybernetically attached Mantis Blades, V is able to eliminate Maiko in just two swipes.

To be fair, the Mantis Blades are probably the most OP weapons in the entire game, and we also don’t know how leveled the player is. It’s an RPG after all, so it’s reasonable to expect some combat situations will be trivial if the player is sufficiently leveled. That said, this encounter is pretty indicative of the level of challenge presented in most combat situations in Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s worth mentioning that Maiko’s trip isn’t a bug, but rather an intended systemic interaction. While it worked out to the player’s advantage here, sometimes enemies can trip and ragdoll all over the place, which can make stealth kills particularly difficult. I any event, if you’re looking for a surefire way to cheese any combat encounter in Cyberpunk 2077, it seems like dropping some obstacles on the ground will definitely trip up your opponent, literally.
