Cyberpunk 2077 Killing In The Name Quest Walkthrough, Explained

Cyberpunk 2077 has drawn you in, hasn’t it? If you’re this deep into our guide content and still digging through for more, then you’re certainly enamoured by Night City, and we’re here to help you find all of the secrets it has to offer. This quest has an unusual list of requirements to get it started, but once you’ve begun, Killing In The Name has a great flow to it.

This is a fairly small side mission, but one of those that will populate your quest list for a while, and you may not even be sure how to actually start the mission and kick things into high gear. Well, we’re here to explain everything you need to know about the Killing In The Name mission in Cyberpunk 2077.

How To Start Killing In The Name In Cyberpunk 2077

This quest has several requirements for you to meet before you actually get things started properly, which means you may already have the quest in your journal, but no way for it to properly begin. Here’s how we can get Killing In The Name properly underway:

  • First, you must have several points put into your Intelligence attribute.
  • Next, you must have completed the missions Second Conflict and A Like Supreme.
  • Once those objectives are complete you’ll receive several messages from Swedenborg-Riviera, and you’ll be able to visit his website via any computer, using the Net window to visit “timetowakeup.web”.

Once this is done, call Swedenborg, and you’ll be ready to begin Killing In The Name.

Finding The Rancho Coronado Signal Source In Cyberpunk 2077

Once this quest is finally officially underway you’ll find yourself seeking out signal sources at various places around Night City, and the very first is in Rancho Coronado. Luckily your informant will be giving you information on where to find these signals, and then you just have to head to the location and start scanning.

Around the back of the building make sure to scan the fuse box on the ground floor, and then head up the fire escape stairs in order to find the source of the suspicious signal. Make sure to scan thoroughly, and then you’ll eventually be directed towards the Badlands.

This signal source is actually very close to where you’ll find the Painting in the Space Oddity quest, and you can find out everything you need to know about that right here.

There will be a large solar panel array and nearby a small trailer. Scan as thoroughly as you can once again, and the cables from the array will lead you to the top of the trailer, once again pointing you in a brand new direction.

Finding The Protein Farm Signal Source In Cyberpunk 2077

Once you find the correct location in the middle of the huge Protein Farm, you will find yourself underneath a large sign stretching into the sky. There should be several ladders nearby that you can use to climb up and find exactly what you need.

You’ll have to get all the way to the top of the sign, so get climbing.

Choosing Your Swedenborg Decision In Pacifica In Cyberpunk 2077

Once you’ve finally got all of the signal sources it’s back to Pacifica, and it’s time to have your fortune told – though do be sure to take a ride on the rollercoaster while you’re here.

A machine will tell your fortune, and yes, it has another one of those signal sources you’ve been hunting down. Now that you’ve got the last of them, it’s time to decide what to do with all of the information you’ve discovered. Here are your choices:

  • Leave Swedenborg be
  • Disconnect Swedenborg
  • Modify Swedenborg (requires Intelligence)

If you leave Swedenborg not much with change. If you disconnect Swedenborg then the anti-capitalist sentiment it has been spreading online will disappear. If you modify Swedenborg, however, then if can become even more effective, and perhaps nonsensical at times.

Regardless of what you choose you’ll have to call Nancy and tell her your decision. Depending on your decision, Nancy will continue to talk to you about Swedenborg later in the story, and you’ll be able to check “timetowakeup.web” in order to see messages other people are leaving regarding Swedenborg.
