Roughly 25 years after launching in the arcades, iconic SEGA racing game Daytona USA 2 is getting its first home console port. The news SEGA fans have been waiting for, Daytona USA 2 will reportedly be playable within upcoming action game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The upcoming Yakuza spinoff will contain a selection of playable retro classics, including a number of SEGA Master System titles.
Fighting Vipers 2 (which only received a Dreamcast port in Japan and Europe), Flicky and Galaxy Force.
According to a Famitsu report (via VGC), Daytona USA 2 will be playable within the in-game arcade, and will be renamed as SEGA Racing Classic 2 in order to avoid licensing issues.
Currently, the only way to play Daytona USA 2 at home is via emulation. The original Outrun 2 on Xbox has an unlockable Daytona USA 2 course, but it’s only playable with Outrun 2 vehicles and handling.
Based on a recent trailer (below), you’ll also be able to play Sonic the Fighters, as well as Master System versions of Flicky, Alien Syndrome, and Galaxy Force.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name has a November 9 release date on consoles and PC.

The game stars Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza series. It’s said to feature two different fighting styles, as well as a host of weapons and items.
SEGA explains more: “Once a legendary yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu faked his own death and abandoned his name for the sake of protecting his family. Now, he is thrust into conflict by a mysterious figure attempting to drive him out of hiding.
“Under the codename “Joryu,” Kiryu embarks on a gripping action narrative with bone-shattering combat in vibrant locations filled with exciting characters and activities.”
In addition to retro video games, Like a Dragon Gaiden also features a playable snooker game, as well as karaoke, racing and more.
