Where is Xur today in Destiny 2? That’s the question many Guardians will be asking as they look to exchange their Glimmer and Legendary Shards for something more deadly.

For those who are new to the game, each week sees the Agent of the Nine, Xur, return to a specific area of one of Destiny’s worlds, boasting an assortment of exotic gear, Legendary weapons and an armour set.

These can be exchanged for a combination of Glimmer and Legendary Shards but only for a short period.

Xur will be returning to the map today and will stick around until the next weekly reset, scheduled for October 5.

Like in the past, Xur is expected to arrive at around 6pm and will be one of the main focuses for today.

While the Iron Banner is in full swing, other big PvP Activities are being rested which usually arrive back in the game alongside Xur.

This means you will not be able to play through the Trials of Osiris this weekend, leaving the merchant the main draw.

While Trials will be having rest, Bungie did provide this breakdown of how it performed last week, telling Guardians today:

“Solo win rate remained high at 27%. Solo blowout rate was 37% prior to enabling the flawless pool and dropped below 30% after. These are all consistent with week two.

“Non-competitive matches (5-0/5-1) were at 55% on Friday/Saturday and dropped to 51% Sunday/Monday — very consistent overall with week two.

“We saw solid sub-50-second matchmaking times all weekend, aside from early-in-card matchmaking protection causing a slight rise (up to 75s) during the middle of the night in North America on Sunday and Monday.

“Overall, we had 667k players participating in Labs (down 33k from week two), with 220k players going flawless. We had 100k fewer matches played overall, which roughly the same average matches per player.”

Last week, Xur was selling: Seventh Seraph Carbine Primary Auto Rifle, Last Perdition Energy Pulse Rifle, Whispering Slab Primary Combat Bow, Timelines’ Vertex Energy Fusion Rifle, Main Ingredient Energy Fusion Rifle, Outrageous Fortune Heavy Grenade Launcher and the Crowd Pleaser Heavy Grenade Launch.

Xur was also selling the Simulator Legendary Armour set for 50 Legendary Shards & 1000 Glimmer.

There were also plenty of Legendary weapons thrown into the mix, meaning there was a reason for everyone to give Xur a visit.

Bungie never provides any information on what he is selling beforehand, and it’s always a guess at where he might be.

A few select random locations are used each week, with Nessus, EDZ and The Tower part of the usual rotation.

And for anyone who has forgotten, Legendary Shards used by Xur are remnants of powerful items used to improve gear or trade for other stuff.

It should also be noted that Xur will be dropping items similar in power level to your character.

And another part of Xur that is new to the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he now drops Cipher Quests for free.

The Quest will reward you with an exotic Cipher, and last week included completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.

Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.
