The Elder Scrolls series is getting its own tabletop miniatures game. Called The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, it’s being made by Modiphius Entertainment, the same team behind the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare miniatures game that started shipping last year.
According to Modiphius, Call to Arms will be an officially licensed tabletop miniatures game that spans the entire Elder Scrolls video game universe. The first wave of models will focus on The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and include a bunch of fan-favorite characters. That set will include minis for Hadvar, Ralof, Yrsarald Thrice-Pierced, Marcurio, Mjoll the Lioness, Ulfric Stormcloak, Galmar Stone-Fist, and General Tullius. Even Lydia will be there to carry your burdens in 32 mm resin.

Call to Arms will use a similar system to Modiphius’ Wasteland Warfare (often confused with Fallout, a more traditional board game from Fantasy Flight Games). Teams of up to six hero characters will lead up to 15 generic troops in a number of different encounters. According to a press release from Modiphius, scenarios range from “dungeon delves, where you seek out lost treasure, to running battles across the ruined outposts that dot the landscape of Tamriel, all the while fulfilling quests and narrative-driven scenario objectives that will see your band of heroes grow from game to game.”

The initial rollout will include two forces, the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Legion. Modiphius also plans to offer a Dragonborn single-player set. Additional races and factions from across the land of Tamriel are also planned. Even more interesting is the promise to add expansions based on The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls Online.
Modiphius says that The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms will be available “from Christmas 2019.” No pricing information has been made available, but single faction sets for Wasteland Warfare currently sell for $159.99 while the complete base set costs $426.99. A two-player starter set costs $76.99.
