Google is giving you a good reason to check out Stadia this weekend, as The Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play from 7am PT on December 3 to 7am PT on December 9. You’ll need to be a Stadia Pro member to take advantage of the promotion, but a free one-month trial is currently available for the service.
If you’d rather pick the game up right now, you’ll be happy to know both the base game and its Greymoor Expansion are on sale through Stadia. That means the Standard Edition is just $7.99, while the Greymoor Upgrade is $13.19. Best of all, playing The Elder Scrolls Online through Stadia offers cross-play with everyone else on PC, so you’re not limited to the smaller pool of folks playing on Google’s platform.
Stadia has a busy first week of December planned. Super Bomberman R Online was just announced as free-to-play title, a Stadia live hangout will be streamed on December 3 – revealing four new trailers and updates about various games – and five new games are scheduled to drop on the Stadia store this week. These include:
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- El Hijo
- Chronos: Before the Ashes
To take part in all the Stadia festivities, it’s best to be a Stadia Pro member. Google is currently offering free one-month memberships, and now is a great time to cash in on the promotion. You’ll need Pro membership to take advantage of the free ESO weekend, but you can also use it to claim six free games:
- Hitman 2
- Hello Neighbor: Secret Neighbor
- Into the Breach
- Monster Jam Steel Titans
Hitman 2 is starting to get up there in age, but it’s still great to see a high-profile triple-A game listed as a free item for subscribers. It’s a perfect time to wrap up Hitman 2 as well, since Hitman 3 is planned to drop sometime next year.
The Elder Scrolls Online Free Play Days begin on December 3 at 7am PT and runs until December 9 at 7am PT. For more info, check out the official Stadia website.
