With the Embracer deal finalising as Square Enix sells of Eidos Montreal, Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and more, Square Enix is holding a site-wide sale with 90 percent off deals. You can get Marvel's Avengers for $2 or Guardians of the Galaxy for $3. And the deal even extends to collector's editions.
Marvel's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Edition normally retails for $149.99 but is now up for grabs at only $15. These are selling out fast across the board, so be quick if you want to find a copy. Alternatively, you can be placed onto a waiting list.
If Marvel isn't your thing, older Tomb Raider games are on sale for as little as 70 cents, with newer ones such as Tomb Raider: Game of the Year selling for $2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Definitive Edition selling for $4. You can even get the Deus Ex Collection for $3.30, down from $32.99.
Thief meanwhile can be bought for $2, while Thief 3: Deadly Shadows is selling for only 90 cents. And aside from the headline IPs that Embracer bought out, some smaller cult classics are also up for grabs at cheap prices such as Legacy of Kain: Defiance which is currently only 70 cents. This is an all-out firesale as Embracer sweeps up these games and the IPs, so if you've been looking for an opening to get some of these titles for cheap, now's a perfect time.
In other news, Embracer is reportedly working on a new deal with Marvel that will go beyond Avengers, continuing what Square Enix started with Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy. We'll have to wait and see if this deal gets approved and to see what it'll bring, but for now, insider Miller claims that work on Avengers "continues… relatively unabated". DLC, cosmetics, and updates will still be rolling out.
