During Version 3.0, Genshin Impact saw the release of its seventh element called Dendro. It was released alongside the Dendro region, which was ruled over by The God Of Wisdom. There are plenty of characters wielding the Dendro element, but Yaoyao is quite special because of the hype around her.

Ever since the start of the game, the community has been eagerly waiting for this character to be released in the game. She is a four-star Polearm user who has grown up with the Adepti just like Ganyu and Shenhe. Yaoyao has one of the cutest skill animations in the game.

Yaoyao's Ascension Materials

Yaoyao belongs to Liyue, but the game didn't have any World Bosses that gave the Dendro crystal before Sumeru. This leads to a situation where her ascension materials are scattered all around Teyvat. Here's everything you'll need to ascend Yaoyao to different levels:

The table above involves all the materials required by Yaoyao for different ascension levels only. Ascending a character to a certain phase requires you to reach the maximum level of the previous phase. You'll need a lot of Mora and EXP material if you want to do that.

It's important to ascend a character in Genshin Impact since it gives them higher stats and unlocks higher levels of their talents. Your character will be quite weak even with good artifacts and weapons if they're not ascended.

Where To Find Nagadus Emerald Crystal

All seven elements have a special crystal that looks like the color of that element, and this crystal is an important part when you're ascending any character with that element. Each type of crystal has four rarities: Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, and Gemstone. To craft a crystal of a certain rarity, you need three crystals of the lower rarity.

While there are quite a few ways to get different crystals in Genshin Impact, it's still not easy to get enough of them because of the amount given. Here's every way to get Nagadus Emerald crystals:

• There is one main limited-time event in every update, and this event has its own shop. You can usually get around six Fragments of each crystal type in this shop using the exclusive event currency.
• Some World Bosses have a chance of dropping different rarities of this crystal. You need to spend resin after defeating these bosses if you want to get the reward. Jadeplume Terrorshroom and Dendro Hypostasis can drop multiple crystals upon claiming their reward.
• Finally, you can use an item called Dust of Azoth to convert any other type of crystal into Nagadus Emerald. These crystals were released a lot later in the game, and there's a high chance of you having a surplus of other types. Dust of Azoth can be bought in the Paimon Shop.

Where To Find Jueyun Chili

Jueyun Chili is a regional specialty that can be found in Liyue exclusively. Unlike the specialties of Sumeru, these Chilis are quite easy to get. There are multiple branches of Jueyun Chili across Liyue, and the best part is that each branch gives you three of them. Essentially, you only need to harvest 56 branches to get enough Chili for Yaoyao.

This specialty is found in bulk if you head over to Qingce Village or the Jueyun Karst area of Liyue, as marked on the map above. It's easier to find these items in Qingce Village since it's pretty straightforward. If you have Yanfei in your character roster, she can make the process of farming these items a lot easier.

Yanfei has a special passive that marks the regional specialty of Liyue with a hand icon on the mini-map whenever you're near it. Once you teleport to the required area, you can simply follow this hand icon to make things easier for you.

To make it easier to get Jueyun Chili, you can equip the Seed Dispensary gadget while farming them. This item will give you seeds for the Chili that can be planted in your teapot to get three more from each crop you plant.

Where To Find Slimes

It seems like the developers decided to make Yaoyao the easiest character when it comes to farming ascension and talent materials. Slimes are one of the most common enemies that can be found in every single region of Teyvat. They are blob-like creatures and there's a Slime variation for each element.

The Slimes are completely immune to the element they belong to, which means that you won't be able to deal any damage to them from the skills or reactions of that element.

If you've been playing the game for quite some time, it's possible that you already have enough Slimes to ascend Yaoyao completely.

Where To Find Quelled Creeper

This is most likely the hardest item to get if you want to ascend Yaoyao. Quelled Creeper is a World Boss drop that can be acquired exclusively from the Dendro Hypostasis. This boss is located in the southeastern Sumeru Desert, and it can take you quite some time to get to this boss if you're new to the game.

It's also necessary to have a Dendro character in your party while fighting this boss. You can only deal damage to it when the core is in a vulnerable state. Once its health is low enough, it will go into a state where you will have to use Dendro on the three seeds to increase the bar below it.

Once the bar gets completed, the boss is instantly defeated. You can also apply Electro to the seeds after applying Dendro to them, and this process will activate the seeds, filling the bar even faster.

Upon defeating the Hypostasis, players are required to revitalize the flower with 40 Original Resin to have a chance of getting one to three Quelled Creepers depending on your World Level.

Yaoyao's Talent Materials

Every time you ascend Yaoyao to a certain level, your maximum talent level will increase up to level ten. Here's everything you need for her talents:

Teachings, Guide, and Philosophies of Diligence are talent books that are exclusive to Liyue. You can farm them in the Taishan Mansion domain in Jueyun Karst on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. Once again, you have to spend the Original or Condensed Resin to get the rewards after defeating all the enemies.

As for Daka's Bell, this item can only be acquired from fighting a Weekly Boss called Scaramouche. This boss is unlocked after finishing act five of the Sumeru Archon Quest. You have a chance of getting any of the three exclusive drops from this boss, but you can convert other drops into Daka's Bell using Dream Solvent.
