How To Stop Getting Pokemon Go Results When Trying To Search Pokemon Moves And Stats

Pokemon Go was all the rave for a while, back when it came out in 2016. It was a creative idea and served as motivation for people to get outside and get some exercise while still being able to play one of their favorite types of games. However, since then, the hype for Pokemon Go has died down quite a bit. Unfortunately, people are still getting results for Pokemon Go stats every time they try to look up Pokemon for the main games.

This may sound like an insignificant detail, but if you’re constantly having to sift through unneeded information, it can be quite a pain. In addition, sometimes it’s not even immediately clear that the stats you’re looking at actually are for Pokemon Go, instead of the game you’re playing at the time. Luckily, there are numerous ways to avoid this problem.

Add A Subtraction Symbol In Your Google Search

If you add” the “-” symbol before a word, Google will filter results to not include that word. So, for example, if you google “Tyranitar moveset,” you’ll likely get results for Pokemon Go. However, if you type “Tyranitar moveset -Pokemon Go,” you’re much more likely to get the relevant results you’re looking for.

Serebii Generation Specific Search

Alternatively, all you have to do to make sure you’re getting the results you want from the Serebii search is to type in which generation of the Pokemon you’re trying to find, and it will spit out the correct results for you.

Other Pokedex Apps For iOS and Android

Instead of relying on the Google searches at all, just download apps like DataDex for Android and ProDex for iOs. This will definitely save you some search time and the headache of constantly dealing with Pokemon Go results.

It would be cool if an “official” Pokedex app would get released, as that would be the most straightforward and efficient way for looking up this information. But there’s really no reason for them to create this, considering fans are creating these apps for free. So for now, maybe some of these options will quicken your experience.
