When you hear the phrase, "everyone is here," your mind may go straight to Super Smash Bros. However, suppose you're a fan of the long-running Shōnen Jump series Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. In that case, this phrase is more appropriate for the re-launched Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R. Over fifty characters represent the gamut of the manga's eight parts!

However, if you're new to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, all of these characters, spanning an over hundred-year storyline with two alternate timelines, are a lot to digest. Fortunately, we compiled a list of each character, their skills, and a summary of the arc from which they originate. We even notated characters added for the remaster!

Part 1: Phantom Blood

Set in the 1880s, the wealthy Joestar family takes in an adoptive son, Dio Brando. Unfortunately, while Dio Brando plays the ultimate gentleman, he secretly tortures Jonathan Joestar, his new brother and heir to the Joestar fortune. After embracing the vampiric powers of a mysterious stone mask, Dio Brando murders Jonathan's father, George Joestar, and amasses an army of the night. But, with the help of a mysterious mentor, Jonathan learns the secrets of Hamon and pursues Dio to avenge his father's death.

Part 2: Battle Tendency

Set in 1938, fifty years after the events of Phantom Blood, the creators of the vampiric stone masks, referred to as "The Pillar Men," awaken. It is up to Joseph Joestar, Jonathan Joestar's grandson, to defeat these titans before they attain a powerful gem, the Super Aja, and become ultimate beings. In his travels, Joseph meets Caesar Zeppeli, a descendant of Jonathan Joestar's mentor, and the two perfect their Hamon skills under the tutelage of the formidable Lisa Lisa. Then the three traverse Europe and fight the Pillar Men in a fateful showdown.

Part 3: Stardust Crusaders

Set in 1987, Dio Brando, donning Jonathan Joestar's body, re-emerges after a boat crew recovers his casket at sea. This revival awakens the Joestar family's stands, formidable creatures connected to the psyche. However, while Joseph Joestar and his grandson, Jotaro Kujo, can control their stands, Joseph's daughter Holly cannot. So the Joestars, along with new allies, must find and kill Dio in Egypt before Holly's stand overcomes her body, thus killing her.

Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable

Set in 1999, Jotaro Kujo tracks down Josuke Higashikata, Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son, living in the Japanese town of Morioh. Jotaro informs Josuke that he is searching for an ancient artifact, the Bow And Arrow, which bestows stands upon anyone pierced by it. Josuke and his allies seek out the Bow And Arrow but encounter peril as they cross paths with a stand-using serial killer, Yoshikage Kira.

Golden Wind follows Giono Giovanna in 2001, Naples, Italy. Giorno is Dio Brando's son, conceived while Dio inhabited Jonathan Joestar's body. His ultimate goal is to perturb drug dealers that target children by becoming a mafia boss himself. However, to succeed, Giorno and his allies must take down mafia don Diavolo before he commits filicide against his daughter, Trish Una.

Part 6: Stone Ocean

Set in 2011, Stone Ocean tells the story of Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro Kujo's daughter, serving time in a Florida state prison for a murder she did not commit. To escape prison, Jolyne must team up with her stand-using inmates and confront Father Enrico Pucchi, the prison chaplain and a loyal DIO devotee.

Part 7: Steel Ball Run

Steel Ball Run begins a new alternate timeline, separate from the story in Parts one through six. In this arc, set in 1890, jockeys Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli take part in a cross-country horse race held by the president of the United States, Funny Valentine. However, the duo discovers that the intentions behind the race are far more sinister: Funny Valentine seeks to reassemble and unleash the massive power of a holy corpse.

Part 8: Jojolion

Jojolion, a continuation of the Steel Ball Run timeline, takes place in 2011 during the aftermath of the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The disaster causes the erection of a mysterious structure, the Wall Eyes, known to swap the traits of any two objects buried under it. Upon investigation, Yasuho Hirose, a college student, discovers an amnesiac youth under the Wall Eyes's rubble. Yasuho and the amnesiac, tentatively named "Josuke," seek to recover his memories and origins.

Baoh: The Visitor

Baoh: The Visitor is a manga series developed by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure creator, Hirohiko Araki, notorious for its over-the-top depiction of gore. Its story focuses on Ikuro Hashizawa, a young man kidnapped and infected with the Baoh virus, thus turning him into a dangerous bioweapon. Ikuro escapes Doress Laboratory, the institution responsible for kidnapping and infecting him, with the help of a young psychic girl named Sumire. In distress, Doress Laboratory sends assassins to kill Ikuro and contain the Boah virus.
