Ninja Tells Kevin Hart How the Drake Fortnite Livestream Happened

Comedian Kevin Hart interviewed top video game streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins in a new episode of the online comedy series Cold As Balls. The two mainly spoke about how Ninja’s record-breaking 2018 Fortnite stream with Drake came about, all while chilling in a literal ice bath in this exclusive clip for IGN.Mixer streamer Ninja and comedian Kevin Hart talked about the business of streaming video games for a living. Ninja was already a popular Fortnite streamer, but his reputation exploded when he live-streamed a game with rapper Drake in 2018.Loading“Drake actually hit me up,” Ninja said, presumably cold. “He just wanted to game, he was down to game.” Ninja shared how Drake first followed him on Instagram before the two even started talking about any potential streaming collaborations. One of the roadblocks to getting the Fortnite stream off the ground was Drake’s busy schedule. “Rapper hours, bro. He was busy, man,” Ninja said. Unfortunately, the live stream was pushed back a couple of days until, out of the blue, Drake reached out to tell Ninja that he was online. That would explain why the now-famous live stream dropped in the middle of the night.Hart meanwhile seems unimpressed by Drake’s lack of professionalism. “You don’t put off a streamer, everybody knows that,” Hart said.Ninja Career Highlights
