Nintendo Is Letting You Challenge A Professional Racecar Driver In Mario Kart 8

Ever wondered if your skills at Mario Kart could go toe-to-toe with some of the world’s greatest drivers? Do you think your Just Dance moves would rival those of professionals? Or perhaps you believe your Mario Tennis serve could put an athlete to shame? Well, you might have an opportunity to find out because Nintendo of Canada is offering Canadians the chance to face-off against professional athletes with the #ChallengeAChamp contest.

Beginning November 9 and running until November 27, Canadians can enter a contest for a chance to virtually face-off against three of the biggest names in sports through the Nintendo Switch. Three separate winners will each receive a unique gaming opportunity. First is the chance to hit the courts with tennis professional Bianca Andreescu in Mario Tennis Aces. Next is the opportunity zip around Rainbow Road with IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Finally, you can boogie down with dance superstar Shanie Blais in Just Dance 2020.

In a press release to the public James Goss, the General Manager for Nintendo of Canada spoke about his excitement for the contest and these athletes; “These are truly three Canadian champions, and we are thrilled to give Canadians the chance to play together with them in this unique way…Time to start warming up!”

To enter the #ChallengeAChamp contest, fans must keep an eye on Nintendo of Canada’s Facebook and Twitter pages for specific posts related to the contest. Then, fans will respond to those posts explaining why they are skilled in the specific game. Here are the weeks to look out for each individual prize/experience:

Mario Tennis Aces vs. Bianca Andreescu: November 9 – 13

Through Nintendo Switch Online, Andreescu will face-off against the lucky winner in an all-out singles tennis battle as they hit the court as their favorite character from the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vs. James Hinchcliffe: November 16 – 20

Through Nintendo Switch Online, Hinchcliffe will race one lucky winner for one of the game’s prestigious Cup Titles as they dodge shells and banana peels.

Just Dance 2020 vs. Shanie Blais: November 23 – 27

The lucky winner will be able to dance alongside Blais in the ultimate dance game where they can create their own playlists to groove to.
