Nioh 2’s Last Chance Trial Teaser Trailer Reveals A Whole New Boss

Nioh 2 is set to release in a few more weeks, and fans are becoming excited with every passing day. The sequel (or rather prequel given the game’s setting) to the original game promises to deliver the same amount of challenging content, while introducing whole new mechanics and capitalizing on those that made the first game great. Before Nioh 2 comes out however, one final demo has been released to demonstrate what the full game will be capable of.

Known as the Last Chance Trial, the demo is not same one that players fought through back in November. Instead, it offers new areas, enemies, and even a boss that is sure to prove to be a challenge given the game’s reputation. The demo comes with a new teaser trailer for the Last Chance Trial has been posted online to show the new content.

Paying attention to the boss that was shown for a few seconds, eagle-eyed fans may have drawn some resemblances to the Flexile Sentry from Dark Souls 2. After all, both bosses look like conjoined warriors specializing in different weapons and abilities. Of course, that is not meant to say that Nioh 2‘s boss is a blatant rip off of the Flexile Sentry. Rather, it may follow a similar formula when it comes to conceptual design, but has its own set of skills and abilities instead. Nonetheless, it is sure to prove to be an interesting and intimidating fight.

The Last Chance Trial demo for Nioh 2 will run from February 28 at 12 a.m PT until March 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT. One crucial thing to note is that the game has already gone gold. The reason why this is so important is because the game is already done with development and is ready to be sold to the public. As such, whatever the demo shows is what players can expect to see the same things in the finished product. Ultimately, the demo serves as a sample of what is to come once the full game is out.

Nioh 2 is set to release for the PS4 in Japan on March 12, 2020 and worldwide on March 13, 2020. As was the case with the previous game getting a PC port, PC fans can also anticipate one for Nioh 2 in the future.
