Outriders update 1.06 is expected to be released this week to help remove some of the alarming bugs that have been added to the game.
One of the biggest is the Inventory Wipe bug, which leaves gamers void of their best gear and weapons.
The good news is that People Can Fly have released a server fix for this problem, meaning it should be happening less since the weekend.
However, problems are still affecting gamers, some of whom have lost key gear and even whole characters.
Not being able to load into a high-level character provides a massive roadblock, especially for those who aren’t interested in making another.
The latest on the situation is that another Outriders Inventory Wipe fix is now live and should help to reduce the chance of something happening.
Here’s the latest on the Outriders Inventory issues and how you can try and fix it if it happens to you:
“Earlier today we applied additional preventative measures on to our servers to guard against any Inventory Wipes.
“These are reducing the occurrence of this issue, but we are continuing to lock in additional countermeasures.
“A potential prevention method to safeguard yourself if you run into this issue:
“The moment you notice that your gear has disappeared, immediately force close the game, then reboot it. As a reminder, we are still aiming to restore certain lost gear for anyone affected.”
A bigger patch is also expected to be released in the coming days as part of a bigger post-launch update.
Outriders: Square Enix release trailer for upcoming game
People Can Fly shared news on what this would include earlier this month, but it should be noted that the launch schedule might have changed.
PCF is prioritising the most problematic bugs in-game right now, meaning that other changes might be pushed back.
“We currently have a few patches undergoing testing and submission. It is our full intention to release patches across all platforms simultaneously, though this may not always be possible.
“However, as with the demo, we will be carefully monitoring the launch and it is our full intention to on short notice hotfix any issues that we are able to reproduce and resolve on our side and that are deemed severe enough.
“Issues of lesser severity that we are able to reproduce and resolve will likely be bundled into the bigger “Post-Launch Follow up Patch” for the sake of efficiency.”
These are some of the next Outriders fixes that could be coming to the game as part of the next update:
Performance improvements for pacing/stuttering that was observed during the demo
Camera Smoothing improvements for cutscenes and dialogues. This should reduce the camera shake that some players are struggling with
Cutscenes/dialogues frame rate improvements
PC cutscenes will have the option to choose from 30, 60, 90 and 120fps
Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 cutscenes will be locked to 60fps
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 cutscenes will remain locked to 30fps
Controller adjustment options such as deadzone adjustment, acceleration settings and legacy layouts.
Loading Time Improvements for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles
Further Performance Improvements for Co-op games
Crossplay friends list and invite system across all platforms. This will require you to be using a Square Enix Members account.
Bug fixes including, for example:
Lore collectibles bugging out on second characters
This list will continue to be built out as we progress through launch
Outriders patch 1.05 was released late last week, which could mean the same is being planned for Outriders 1.06 in the coming days.
