Pokemon fans will soon find out what Nintendo and the Pokemon Company has planned to mark the series’ 25th anniversary.  At 3pm UK time a Pokemon Presents broadcast will air, where it is widely expected the in-demand Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes will get announced. And in the run-up to this a reliable leaker could have revealed two new Nintendo Switch games which will get announced during the Pokemon Direct.

Redditor PracticalBrush12 has an enivable track record, correctly leaking details on past Nintendo Directs, Super Smash Bros announcements and more.

The leaker typically drops a bombshell a few hours before an announcement has officially been made.

And sticking to form PracticalBrush12 has just leaked alleged details about the Pokemon Direct.

If you want to go into the upcoming Pokemon Direct without having anything spoiled please look away now.

Pokémon Sword & Shield: Trailer for ‘The Crown Tundra’

Still here? Okay. So according to the PracticalBrush12 leak remakes of “Brilliant D and Shining P” are coming this year.

So those rumours of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes launching on the Nintendo Switch in 2021 look to be true.

However, in a turn up for the books the leaker claims the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes will have battles like Pokemon Sword and Shield.

It had been thought the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes would be more like the Let’s Go games than the more recent mainline entry in the Pokemon series.

Elsewhere, PraticalBrush12 said the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes will have “weird chibi 3D”.

It’s also been claimed the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes are not being made by Game Freak.

That’s because the Pokemon developers are allegedly working on an “open world” Pokemon game set in “feudal” Sinnoh that’s coming in early 2022.

If that’s the case that would be an announcement no one saw coming.

We’ll find out soon enough if this leak is true or not. The Pokemon Presents Direct-style broadcast airs at 3pm UK time today.
