PS Plus April free PS4 games latest: Conan Exiles, The Surge release NEWS

PS Plus subscribers are counting down to the release of the April 2019 PS4 free games.

PlayStation Plus members can download two free PS4 games every month as part of their subscription.

The April 2019 free PS4 games have an April 2 release date, and should be available to download by around 10am UK time.

And April 2019 is shaping up to be a good month for PS Plus subscribers, who can download two interesting PS4 games.

First up is open-world survival game Conan Exiles, which can be played in single and multiplayer.

“Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian,” reads the official PlayStation description. “Survive in a savage world, build your kingdom, and dominate your enemies in brutal combat and epic warfare.”

Similar to games like Ark Survival Evolved and even Minecraft, players start with nothing, and must scavenge for items to survive and thrive.

“Start with nothing but your bare hands and forge the legacy of your clan, building anything a small home to gigantic fortresses and entire cities,” the description continues.

“Wage war using swords, bows, siege weapons, and even take control of giant avatars of the gods and lay waste to enemy cities.

“Explore a vast, seamless world full of challenge and opportunity. Hunt animals for resources, slay monsters for treasure, and delve deep underground to discover the secrets of ancient civilizations.”

PS Plus subscribers can also download The Surge, which is developed by the same team as Lords of the Fallen.

“Welcome to CREO, the megacorporation saving our world!” reads a PlayStation listing for The Surge.

“A catastrophic event has knocked you out during the first day on the job… you wake up equipped with a heavy-grade exoskeleton, in a destroyed section of the complex. Robots gone haywire, insane augmented co-workers and rogue AI – everything wants you dead.

“Defy deadly enemies and huge bosses in tight, visceral melee combat. Target and slice specific limbs off your foes, with a next-gen loot system where you loot what you dismember! Equip, upgrade and craft new weapons and armors sliced from enemies, and make yourself stronger through a fresh take on leveling-up.”

With the PlayStation Plus games about to be released, subscribers have less than 24 hours to download the existing freebies.

This includes blockbuster releases like Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and The Witness.

As an added bonus, PS Plus subscribers can download a special bundle for free-to-play game Path of Exiles.

The free pack contains an Infernal Skull helmet skin and a Fire Frog pet.
