PS Plus Free Game WARNING and new PS4 downloads you don’t want to miss

There are just a few days left until the new PS Plus free games for May 2019 are released by Sony for PS4 subscribers.

But until they arrive and the old selection disappears, there’s a few other rewards and PS4 downloads you will want to know about.

As many subscribers will already know, a PS Plus account rewards you with free games, as well as with exclusive game bundles and bonuses.

On top of the multiplayer access and monthly titles, fans can also grab cosmetic items that can be used in their favourites games.

And a couple of new ones have just arrived that will no doubt prove very popular with 3on3 FreeStyle fans.

3on3 FreeStyle is a free game that has been available to download on PS4 consoles since 2016.

Since its release, the sports title has received a wave of free updates and is currently offering a free PS Plus bundle to fans on the PlayStation Store.

The new pack is available to download now and includes 4,999 Coins, a Silver Card Pack Ticket and a Coin Buff Ball (1D) x1.

There is the chance that this deal has ended, however, as it is still available to download and claim, it will be worth checking out if you’re a fan of the street basketball title.

If you’re unable to claim this new deal in time, then there are a few other options to choose from this weekend. There are other PS Plus bundles to download, with Apex Legends, Fortnite and Star Trek Online to choose, as well as demos to try out.

And anyone hungry for some platformer action can download a free trial version of Croc’s World 2, which originally began life on Mobile platforms. The Croc’s World demo on PS4 is small in size and features four levels that can be played for free.

According to the official site, the other 56 can be bought in-game and also comes with evil bosses to take down using the Jump ‘n’ Run style of play.

Another free game available on PS4 is hosting an event that could appeal to a few Lapsed Warframe gamers. Digital Extremes is holding a new in-game event in which players can unlock Warframes that have been vaulted.

This includes Volt Prime, which returns from the Prime Vault for the first time alongside Loki Prime. These are back in the game with the vaulted Prime Accessories and Prime Weapons.

The good news is that Warframe doesn’t require PS Plus, meaning you can download and check out the changes without spending money. And if none of these free game options and bonuses interests you, there’s only a short window of time before the next big PS Plus release.

Right now, PlayStation Plus subscribers have until May 7 to download The Surge and Conan Exiles for free.

These will remain available to you as long as you have a PS Plus account, but you have to claim them before they disappear. This means gamers have a few days to add them to their libraries before they’re replaced by the next batch.

Sony PlayStation confirmed earlier this week that What Remains of Edith Finch and Overcooked will be the PS Plus games for May 2019. Cooking game Overcooked comes highly recommended by reviewers, with an average Metacritic score of 7.9.

What Remains of Edith Finch is an entirely different experience and is another title that has achieved high scores with fans.

Having won several awards since it first launched in 2017, WREF has achieved an 8.2 user score, making it one of the best-reviewed titles to feature this year as part of the PS Plus program.

“From the creators of The Unfinished Swan, the award-winning What Remains of Edith Finch is a highly original and often surreal experience,” the Sony PlayStation announcement confirms.

“As the last of the cursed Finch family line, visit your family’s old family home and discover more about your relatives’ untimely deaths through unique interactive storytelling.

“Sombre, thought-provoking and at times deeply moving, What Remains of Edith Finch is one of this generation’s most understated gems. If you missed it the first time around, now is your chance to experience it.”
