PS4 Pro last minute Christmas DEAL: 4K PlayStation gets price cut before Christmas

PlayStation 4 has run away with this console generation, and for good reason – it’s got some of the best exclusives, including God of War, Spider-Man, and Horizon Zero Dawn. It’s also got a robust third-party lineup, with many games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare getting extra content on PS4.

If you’re looking to upgrade to the 4K-capable PlayStation 4 Pro then you’re in luck, because Currys and Argos are both offering some crazy deals on the console – although we think Argos is offering the best value for money.

The retailer is offering the PlayStation 4 Pro (with exclusive Fortnite items in the Neo Versa Bundle), with two games for just £269.99. The best part is, you can pick the games – so you can grab one of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Detroit: Become Human, Death Stranding, God of War, Days Gone, or Concrete Genie, as well as one of Wolfenstein Youngblood, RAGE 2 or Metro Exodus.

When you consider the first games on offer cost up to £50, and the second at around £30, the whole package would usually retail for £430 – meaning you’re saving £160 by picking up the bundle.

If you’ve already got those titles, then maybe Currys PC World has the bundle for you. The retailer has dropped the price of multiple PS4 Pro bundles to just £249.99. That means you’re getting the most powerful PlayStation 4 and one of the latest and greatest games for less than the RRP of the console on its own. Check out the bundles below:

PS4 Pro 1TB with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

PS4 Pro 1TB with FIFA 20

PS4 Pro 1TB with God Of War

PS4 Pro 1TB with Fortnite Neo Versa and 2 Wireless Controllers

For our money, you’re best off with the Call of Duty or FIFA Bundles – God Of War is just £15.99 when bought separately, so you’ll make more of a saving with one of those bundles. And don’t forget, Fortnite is a free download, so you’re really paying for cosmetic items in-game and an extra controller (and the game doesn’t support split-screen multiplayer, either).

The PlayStation 4 Pro offers 4K gaming, which means compatible games like Call of Duty and God Of War will look pin-sharp – provided you have a 4K TV. Even if you don’t, the 1TB of storage and speedier loading still makes this the best PS4 money can buy.

If you can’t make your mind up, we reviewed the console here. Aside from the odd omission of a 4K Blu-Ray drive, we found it to be a great console – if a bit on the pricey side. Thankfully, with these deals, that’s no longer an issue.

Plenty of games are now enhanced for the PlayStation 4 Pro, including Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, and The Witcher 3 – which was updated since our initial review of the console.
