Razer is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, names in gaming acessories. It’s black-and-green aesthetic is instantly recognizable on its mice, keyboards, and Blade series of laptops. It also has energy drinks and chewing gum, if you want to taste the future of gaming. But there’s one area the giant hasn’t tackled yet: ergonomic gaming chairs.
That’s about to change with the Razer Iskur. This first foray into gaming chairs was revealed at RazerCon, the company’s own livestreamed event. Many products were revealed, including the usual headsets and laptops, but the Iskur was a surprise.
The Razer Iskur sells for $499 and can be pre-ordered now to ship on October 29. Perhaps its most distinctive feature is its large lumbar support cushion. Many gaming chairs have a small pillow positioned to support the lower back, but the Iskur extends that to a cushion that takes up the lower half of the chair. It’s meant to curve with the entirety of your spine for maximum support.
Also of note is the multi-layer synthetic leather that is supposed to stand up to daily use better than most. Topping it off are high-density foam cushions, a memory foam head pillow, and 4D armrests. Razer is coming into the gaming chair game with a strong showing.
