By the time you reach Ouranos Island in Sonic Frontiers, you'll be no stranger to the many Challenges that dot each of the game's maps. Even with Kronos, Ares, and Chaos Islands behind you, there will still be unexpected surprises as you traverse the largest area of all. From brand-new puzzles to the toughest versions of familiar ones, Ouranos' Challenges live up to their name!
If you're stuck on any of the twenty-six puzzles in the game's final chapter, use this guide to find all of their locations, objectives, and tips for completing them.
M-079
- Location: Just to the left of the starting point, along the main path. Look for a buried Vault Key nearby!
- Reward: Red Seed
Step on the gold tile to begin. When the other tiles light up, jump to each exactly once without falling off or stepping on a tile you’ve already touched.
M-080
- Location: On a hilltop south and slightly west of the Stage 4-1 Portal.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Activate the orb-shaped switch to begin. When a sphere falls from the sky, hit it before it touches the ground. Look for concentric rings emanating from the sphere’s landing point and run to it. You should reach the point of impact the moment before the sphere touches the ground.
Be careful not to boost, or you’ll go far past the sphere and miss!
M-081
- Location: Along the ridge southwest of the Stage 4-1 Portal.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Use Cyloop on the pedestal at the edge of the cliff to begin. When the ball appears, use Homing Attack to knock it through the five hoops in any order. The hoops left and right of the center one are slightly further away, so you’ll need to stand back from the ball before launching it to get the correct angle.

- Location: Southwest of the Blue Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Activate the blocks that look like Tetris pieces in order so that they match the sample on the pedestal. The correct order is Purple, Blue, Black.
M-083
- Location: Northwest of the Stage 4-2 Portal.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Stand in the ruins between the two loops, and jump over the laser as it swings downward. Continue playing jump-rope with the laser until the timer runs out. If the laser hits you or you step off of the pedestal, you’ll have to start over.
This laser makes quick double-swings, so you’ll need to double-jump each time.
M-084
- Location: South of the Stage 4-4 Portal. Only accessible after extending the bridge to the northern island as part of Sage’s quest chain.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Stand on the green tile in the center of the pedestal to start the Challenge. Dodge left and right to quickly step on each tile as it lights up. The challenge will complete after twenty correct inputs.
M-085
- Location: East of the Green Emerald Vault. Only accessible after extending the bridge to the northern island as part of Sage’s quest chain.
- Reward: Red Seed
Hit the hourglass with Homing Attack to start the timer, then follow the blue targets to the goal. Be read for a sharp left turn after the second target.
The timer is tight, so you can get more time by tapping the Boost button when you have two targets lined up in front of you. Be careful not to overshoot!
M-086
- Location: Southeast of the Green Emerald Vault. Only accessible at night, after extending the bridge to the northern island as part of Sage’s quest chain.
- Reward: Blue Seed, plus a Vault Key buried under the final objective.
Use Cyloop to activate the glowing light near the Challenge Marker. Another will appear nearby. Activate that one too, and so on, following the lights to the large ruin on the other side of the woods. Once you’ve activated the final light, you’ll receive your reward.
M-087
- Location: North of the White Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Use Cyloop on the Tetris-like blocks in the correct order to match them on the example. The correct order is Gray, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Black.
M-088
- Location: Southeast of the Yellow Emerald Vault, midway up the hill.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Hit the Hourglass to get started, then follow the targets to the Yellow Emerald Vault. You can afford to take it slow, especially since you’ll need to jump with precision to hit the elevated targets.
M-089
- Location: West of the Red Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Watch for a glowing orb moving in a wide circle around the Challenge Marker. Run up to it and hold the attack button until you catch it.
M-090
- Location: Southwest of Stage 4-3.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Use Homing Attack on the hourglass to start the timer. When the blue targets appear, use Cyloop twice on the pile of sticks underneath them. This will reveal a flower.
Attack the flower to launch into the air, and hit all the targets on the way down to finish the Challenge.
M-091
- Location: In the valley west of the Red Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Red Seed, plus several Kocos and Purple Coins at the goal.
Hit the hourglass with Homing Attack to begin the Challenge. Follow the course to the top of the nearby tower. Many of the springs here can’t be targeted with Homing Attack, so you’ll need to carefully use double-jumps to get through!
M-092
- Location: Far northwest of the Portal to Stage 4-6.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Hit the punching bag to start the Challenge. You need to deal three hundred damage to the target within thirty seconds. This late in the game, you can easily rack up several times that amount!
M-093
- Location: West of the Stage 4-3 Portal.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Interact with the orb to start the Challenge. Watch for blue rings to appear on the ground indicating where the target sphere will fall. Stand on its landing area and touch it before it hits the ground to complete the Challenge.
M-094
- Location: West of the Stage 4-8 Portal.
- Reward: Blue Seed, plus several Koco and Purple Coins near the goal.
Hit the hourglass with Homing Attack to start the Challenge. Run up the hill and jump through the pink hoop, then follow the course to the island off the shore. It’s trickier than it looks!
Change lanes on the grind rails to avoid being bounced back. If you do get turned around, don’t panic. You’ll get bounced back in the correct direction eventually, and the timer is fairly lenient. If you jump off the rails to try and correct your course, there’s a good chance you’ll fall into the ocean.
M-095
- Location: Southeast of the Stage 4-8 Portal, near a fishing spot.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Hit the switch near the Challenge Marker to begin. When the floating platforms activate, use Homing Attack on them one after the other to climb to the top of the ruins.
When you reach the roof, use an Air Boost followed by a Homing Attack to reach the next switch. Continue climbing until you reach the third switch, then hit it to complete the Challenge.
M-096
- Location: North of the Stage 4-8 Portal.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Turn the mirrors so that the beam hits the receptor in the ruins. Mirrors can only be turned at ninety-degree angles.
The final mirror has to be rotated vertically, rather than horizontally, in order to hit the receptor above it.
M-097
- Location: Just west of the Teal Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Use Cyloop on the pedestal to make the ball and hoops appear. Hit the ball through all the hoops by hitting it with Homing Attack. You’ll need to attack the ball from varying heights and angles in order to hit the different hoops.
M-098
- Location: West of the Stage 4-6 Portal. Only available at night.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Use Cyloop on the glowing tree next to the pond to receive your reward.
M-099
- Location: Behind the large building that holds the White Emerald Vault.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Hit the hourglass to start the timer, then start climbing the building. All paths lead to the top, so take whichever route makes the most sense to you.
M-100
- Location: In the flower field south of the Red Emerald Vault. Watch out for the nearby Kunoichi!
- Reward: Blue Seed
Hit the Hourglass with Homing Attack, then use the nearby flower to launch into the air. Hit every target on the way down without missing any to complete the challenge.
M-101
- Location: Northeast of the Stage 4-4 Portal. Only accessible after extending the bridge to the northern island as part of Sage’s quest chain.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Use the diagram above to step on each illuminated tile exactly once.
M-102
- Location: South of the Stage 4-8 Portal.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Use Cyloop on the bricks in the following order to line them up according to the template: Yellow, Purple, Black, Blue, Gray.
M-103
- Location: North of the Stage 4-6 Portal.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Stand on the triangular pedestal and parry three consecutive bullets fired by the machine.

- Location: Southeast of the Yellow Emerald Vault, at the bottom of the hill.
- Reward: Blue Seed.
Follow the diagram above to walk on the lit tiles without going back or stepping on a dark tile.
M-105
- Location: Northwest of the Stage 4-6 Portal.
- Reward: Red Seed.
Step on the gold tile to begin. Carefully jump to each lit tile, stepping on each one exactly once. If you fall off or step on a dark tile, you’ll have to start over.
