Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans have received some massive release new for the upcoming PS4 title.
Having lain dormant for some time, Square Enix provided a much-needed update on how the longstanding project is shaping up.
This also came with the news that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be appearing at E3 2019 later this year.
But fans haven’t had to wait long to learn more about the new FF7 release, including how Square Enix will be handling the final launch.
It appears that the company will be launching FF7 in parts, rather than with a full traditional game release.
This is something the company has spoken about in the past and appears to have reaffirmed their plans in a new blog post shared this week.
Translated by Gematsu, the post regarding Final Fantasy 7 explains: “For Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will be reborn on PlayStation 4, there is a lot of content to review in doing a full remake, and production is underway as multiple parts.”
Releasing Final Fantasy 7 Remake in multiple parts would make it possible for Square Enix to avoid delays that affected other high-profile projects, such as Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15.
It would mean the company could get the game into the hands of fans much quicker, while also eventually providing a complete edition.
It should be noted that Square Enix hasn’t provided a lot of detail regarding what “Multiple Parts” is referring to, meaning other plans could be revealed.
But the hope is that much more substantial news will be shared concerning the Final Fantasy 7 Remake during E3 2019.
Square Enix is expected to announce tentative release plans during its presentation next month, along with updates on some of its other high-profile projects.
The Square Enix E3 stream will go live at 2am UK time on Tuesday, June 11. US viewers can tune in at 6pm PDT on June 10.
The Square Enix Avengers game was first announced back in January 2017, but since that initial reveal news on the project has dried up.
It’s possible that Square Enix could capitalise on the excitement surrounding Avengers Endgame by revealing more about the upcoming game at E3 next month.
And ahead of the E3 event new details on the Avengers game looks to have been revealed in a job listing from the game’s developer Crystal Dynamics.
A new job listing for the position of Narrative Director has referred to the game’s story as “emotional” multiple times.
It said: “The Narrative Director will be tasked with the direction of the game’s cinematic and gameplay experiences.
“They are expert in collaborating across design and narrative disciplines to make memorable, emotional, and cinematic experiences.
“The Narrative Director will work in partnership with the Game Director and Art Director, to create the narrative tone of the project.
“They will work cross-discipline with other writers, designers, and artists to develop a high-quality narrative AAA gameplay experience.”
