Valve has revealed the official dates for the remaining Steam Sales being held in 2021, some of which will be the biggest of the year.

The time before the Steam Halloween Sale will be perfect for checking your library and deciding you have too many unplayed games to buy anything new, and then quickly ignoring your own advice.

The sheer number of games that will be receiving discounts will make it difficult to resist everything on offer, and that’s without mentioning the theme.

The Steam Halloween Sale will focus on horror games, with last year’s event providing deals on some of the biggest titles around.

But in another twist, Valve also included games that were hosting Halloween activities, making it possible to include titles like Rust, No Man’s Sky, SMITE and Madden NFL.

“Reap ghoulish discounts on horror and Halloween-themed games across the Steam catalogue. The sale also features other great games that have special Halloween-themed activities and updates that are happening during the Halloween Sale.”

And new information shared this week has confirmed exactly when the next Steam Sales will be happening.

Based on this info, the next Steam Sale will be focused around Halloween, and will be followed by those for Autumn and Winter.

The Steam Halloween Sale 2021 starts on Thursday, October 28, and is to launch at around 6pm BST.

The Steam Autumn Sale 2021 starts on November 24 and is expected to launch at 6pm BST.

The Steam Winter Sale 2021 starts on December 22 and will be the biggest of the remaining game sales held by Valve.

More news regarding the theme of each sale will be shared by Valve after the event has begun on the Steam Store.

However, no special news or announcements are expected to be shared by Valve before things kick-off.

There probably won’t be an official reveal confirming when any of the sales will begin, and most gamers will already know to be the site for October 28.

The Steam Halloween sale 2021 could also bring with it new Halloween art that will be available as an avatar frame, animated avatar and animated profile background.

The upcoming Halloween sale will follow the Steam Digital Tabletop Fest, which began on October 22 and ends on October 24 at 6pm UK time.

This event offers hundreds of discounts on tabletop-inspired games as well as RPG streaming events.

Games that are currently on sale include Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition, Disco Elysium – The Final Cut and Slay the Spire.

While Halloween is expected to be a regular sales event for Valve, the Steam Winter Sale could be a little different in 2021.

It will be held in December, the same month that the new Steam Deck launches and is expected to have compatibility with a number of big titles.

This would be the perfect time to highlight them as part of the Winter Sale so that gamers can get ready to use the new device, but it will be up to Valve to decide how the event runs.
