People Are Just Learning Nintendo Intentionally Makes Switch Games Taste Bad Thanks To A Viral TikTok Clip

While the news has been out for a while that Nintendo makes their game cartridges taste bad, most everyone including myself had no idea until a clip about the phenomenon went viral on TikTok. I of course tried this out and yes, I confirm that Nintendo game cartridges do indeed taste terrible. They’re apparently coated with a little bit of Denatonium Benzoate which isn’t nearly as toxic as it sounds, but it sure does taste bad. The point is of course to prevent people and especially kids from swallowing the cartridges.

GameStop Launches NFT Project Amid Crypto Crash

The popular video game retailer GameStop seems to be doubling down on its NFT project even despite the worsening crypto crash. The company has been sending out all sorts of messages through its official Twitter account in what appears to be a desperate attempt to get people on board with its upcoming NFT platform. While the retailer still hasn’t yet launched this, GameStop is poised to push forward with the program in a move which has left many scratching their heads. The crypto market just reached its lowest point since 2020.

Activision Blizzard Diversity Tool Accuses Mario Of Being "Presumably Straight"

The news broke a while back that Activision Blizzard has been using a tool to attribute its characters a kind of diversity index. This went over about as well as you’d expect. The ridicule has now reached new heights after a Twitter user going by the name of UltimaShadowX revealed a presentation at the Game Developer’s Conference in 2017 which features a worker at the company showcasing the tool in action. This person can be seen giving Mario a bad mark, noting how the character is “presumably straight.”

Hideo Kojima Posts Tweet Making Fun Of Norman Reedus After He Leaked Death Stranding 2

The actor behind Sam Bridges in Death Stranding, Norman Reedus, accidentally revealed the existence of a sequel yesterday. “We just started the second one,” Reedus remarked when asked about his experience working on Death Stranding. Hideo Kojima has now all but confirmed the existence of this upcoming game, poking fun at Reedus for his remark in the process. Kojima told the actor to “go to your private room, my friend.” There is currently no scheduled release date for Death Stranding 2 as the game remains officially unannounced, but I’m sure that we’ll be hearing more about the title in the near future.

Streamer xQc Followers Gamble Away $119 Million, Hasan Decries Profiteering, Ludwig Urges Twitch To Ban Gambling Streams

The popular streamer xQc admitted to having a gambling addiction a while back. The content creator also promised not to accept any more sponsorships from gambling companies. He went back on this promise without much ado a couple of months ago, signing a deal with an online casino called Stake. When asked about the sponsorship from a follower, xQc revealed that over $119 million have been gambled away by people using his promotional codes. This prompted a backlash by his fellow streamers. “A lot of these websites, Stake and all of them, if they have a code, if you are offering a code, that means that Stake is tracking all of your losses and you are getting a percentage of your fanbase's losses,” Hasan explained. “That is quite literally the truth. That is how fucking bad it is. They let you in on it. They let you in on the losses of your fucking fanbase.” Ludwig has even gone so far as to call on platforms like Twitch to ban gambling streams entirely.
