Mortal Kombat 11 is fast approaching the end of its first season of DLC – five characters that are all collected under the Kombat Pack 1 umbrella.
The esteemed fighting series from NetherRealm Studios gets character five later this month, and the fighting game's next big update will introduce the most famous DC villain of them all to the game: The Joker .
So far, we've seen the likes of Shang Tsung , Nightwolf , The Terminator and Sindel arrive to compete in the most lethal tournament in all the realms, and now Gotham's psychotic clown prince of crime is coming, too.
And to celebrate his imminent arrival, Mortal Kombat 11 creative director Ed Boon has revealed that a gameplay trailer for Joker is coming soon.
We don't know exactly when the update for the character (excuse us, kharacter ) is coming, but Boon says it'll be soon, and that it'll be a 'bloody good time'.
Joker is due to launch on January 28, 2020 (which is a Tuesday, as per all other big MK11 updates).
We can therefore expect the trailer to go live around Tuesday 21, 2020 – we typically see updates for the characters drop around a week before they launch.
We saw trailers for Sindel, Nightwolf and Terminator separated by about a week gap from the characters' launches, so we don't imagine it'll be any different here.
If you're curious about what to expect, Ed Boon has teased that although the upcoming fighter has a pretty intense Fatal Blow, and the most recent tweet shows Joker peering into what seems to be a combatant's point-of-view. And you're covered in blood.
"Just watched an early pass at Joker's Fatal Blow….. Day-um" said Boon in a tweet last year.

If you're getting excited, thinking that maybe Joker's trailer will have some sort of Spawn tease, too, you might want to temper your expectations.
In a follow-up tweet, Boon notes that Spawn is due to stay behind the curtain for a little while longer yet.
After Joker's release, Spawn will be the next character to arrive in the game, crashing into the fight on March 17, 2020.
We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear more.
