Unlock A New Weapon In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla By Hitting A Pile Of Rocks

There is a lot to do and see in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. As with many open-world games, there are still several secrets that are hidden within the world, but one of them has been found through brute force—literally by hitting a pile of rocks—and it unlocks a new (deadly) weapon.

It is generally expected that there are going to be bugs and glitches that come along with a game of this size. Ubisoft has generally managed these issues well, with few of them being game-breaking—although there was a glitch that let you farm opals by “killing” training dummies.

This one is somewhat similar, in that you probably aren’t meant to get an Isu weapon this way. YouTuber JorRaptor took to the site to show off how to get the “Noden’s Arc” hunter bow. You’ll need to go to the top of the map, in Northumbria, to a specific lake. From there, you’ll see a small island. Swim to it, and there will be a pile of glittering rocks.

Hit the rocks a few times (it doesn’t seem to matter what you hit them with) save your game, reload (three times should do the trick, but more if necessary), and voila—you’ve probably glitched Noden’s Arc into your inventory. The bow is very powerful and is something that you’ll probably want to have with you.

The game’s narrative director, Darby McDevitt, took to Twitter to confirm that this is not the way that you are supposed to get Noden’s Arc—though he did admit that this might be a good way to help speedrunners. There is a specific in-game way to obtain Noden’s Arc that doesn’t involve hitting rocks (probably) but McDevitt didn’t say how it should be done. Someone suggested that surely the bow has been founded as intended by now, but McDevitt was only willing to say that “someone almost has” and offered no more.

Whenever someone does unlock the secret to getting the Noden’s Arc naturally, we expect that the process is going to be something special, given how long it’s remained a secret.
