Resident Evil Village Will Be Part Of Tokyo Game Show

On Twitter, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Village will be part of Tokyo Game Show. The company’s live show will be held on two days, September 26-27, through Capcom’s Twitch Channel.

On both days, the livestream will run from 5 AM – 8 AM PDT. If you’re looking to just catch Resident Evil Village news, it will be part of September 27’s stream. The broadcast will be in Japanese, but simultaneous English and Chinese interpretations will be available. Capcom has also announced that it will be showing Street Fighter V Champion Edition during the September 26 livestream.

An announcement trailer for Resident Evil Village was released back in June. Producers Tsuyoshi Kanda and Pete Fabiano’s interview with Famitsu, translated by Alex Aniel, also revealed more about this new addition to Capcom’s popular horror franchise. Resident Evil Village will conclude Ethan’s story that started in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. They also commented that the title underscores village because there is “another protagonist” in the game and don’t want the game to be known as Resident Evil 8.

Resident Evil Village releases in 2021 on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC. Tokyo Game Show in its entirety will take place entirely online during September 23-27. Like many other games events, the physical show has been cancelled.
